Why Pink?

Sometimes I wonder why the color pink is so commonly accepted here as being feminine or meaning “girls”? There are so many marketers that seem to assume that if they want to sell something to women that it must be pink. I frankly hate the color pink and will not ever wear the color pink. It looks horrible on me and I don’t like it. I think blue and green looks just as good as any other color and would readily buy a blue shirt for a woman’s charity event to show my support. But if that same shirt is only made in pink, then I do not care how worthy the charity might be, I’m not buying it and not wearing a pink shirt.

I know what you mean, Janie! I hate the color pink! Why do men insist on making things in only pink and expecting us girls to buy it? I need color choices and if pink is the only color, then, no thanks!
