Not that I go out to bars very often, but when I do I always have an issue with what to do with my purse when I am sitting at the bar on a Bar Stool. I hate putting my purse on the floor and there really isn’t much room on the actual bar for my over sized purse that I carry everything under the sun in. So this year for Mother’s Day my sister gave me the coolest little gadget that allows you to hang your purse on so that it is safe and out of the way. And since I love butterflies it is in the shape of a beautiful pink butterfly.
My little sister has decided to take music this year in school. She is having a hard time deciding what instrument she wants to try and master. There are so many to choose from. Personally I would love to learn how to play the drums and with the drums comes the cymbals of course so you basically are learning two musical instruments in one. But I think that the flute would be a good start for her, she could learn the basics on that and maybe go on from there, like maybe to the trumpet or trombone, she has a big mouth and at times is totally full of hot air, but it is totally up to her to decide what she thinks would be the best for her.
I think that the clarinet would be a total challenge for her, I don’t think she is up to that at this point, but I’d love to see her master the saxophone. Many a jazz players woo the crowds with their sax, nothing better than that in my opinion! I’m sure what ever she decides and puts her mind to it will all be good, she is just that way and I love her all the more for it.
Well my mother really seemed to enjoy having all of us over for lunch today, especially since she didn’t have to do the cooking, We all pitched in and brought tons of food over so that mother could enjoy Mother’s Day in the living room and the front porch instead of in the kitchen as she usually does on all of the holidays ever since I can remember.
She also loved the wall spice rack that I purchased and gave to her as my Mother’s Day gift this year. Her old spice rack, I’m sorry to say, had seen better days and she just hasn’t had the nerve to buy a new one since her current one is one of the spice racks that my older brother made for her in shop class back when he was in Junior High School, and my mother is such a typical sentimental mother that has a hard time getting rid of things like that.
It was a nice weather day, the food was good and everyone was on their best behavior with no one getting mad or upset or leaving early. One for the record books.
Another good song found on YouTube.com, perfect for the up and coming Memorial Day holiday. I’m so glad to see so many American flags being flown on so many houses and businesses alike right now. Funny how right after 9/11 almost everyone was flying the American flag and our American Pride was a big-to-do. Of course just like most things all that energy pretty much fizzled out, only to return on a few select holidays through out the year.
