At this morning’s networking meeting the talk was all about the county fair that is scheduled to start next week. I have never attended the county fair because I really don’t like large crowds in the middle of the hot summer months and our county fair now attracts something like over 60 thousand people from start to finish.

One of the member’s was saying that he was surprised last year to find how many Chicken Breeds there are out there these days. I have to say that I really don’t know all that much about chickens but I’ve seem my fair share throughout the years. And I know that there really are a tons of varieties that have been breeding and end up at county fairs all across the country as well as all across the world. A good part of the world rely on all that a chicken has to offer as far as food goes. But I really don’t want to go in that direction right now.

I guess this really is leading up to another member speaking up about his recent endeavor of breeding and raising ducks. He now has plenty of Ducks for Sale and was hoping to find someone at this meeting that would either Buy Ducks or know of someone who would be interested in buying his Ducks. It just freaked me out that this networking meeting that is supposed to be about professional people and here we ended up mainly talking about Chickens and Ducks and the county fair!

For once my brother is asking for my opinion about wireless security cameras and the like. He lives in a neighborhood that is slowly deteriorating and he and some neighbors have been missing things here and there from their yards lately. My brother travels a lot, so his house is left empty quite often and he his becoming more and more concerned about the safety of belongings and wants to do something about it. He is in the computer business and has quite a lot of money tied up in all of his equipment and he doesn’t have it all insured, so if any of it was stolen it would set him back a lot. As you know I have a younger brother who is a computer whiz and he has taken on the task of educating me on several areas of the computer and I really have learned quiet a bit so far and am urging him to continue when he has the time. We talk on the phone and send emails frequently, since both of us are on our computers so often, it works out quiet well.He is currently assisting with the computer and technical aspect of a fairly new company of an old school friend, and he seems to be enjoying himself at the same time, which is strange, he is such a quiet and even tempered kind of fellow.

His friend heard about my brother’s reputation for doing an honest job for an honest dollar and looked him up, he isn’t hard to find mind you, and has hired him on as the Web Master, so he is in charge of the whole kit and caboodle of this new and exciting on-line business.

Ashop Commerce is who my brother is using with this particular client, he tells me that he has used it before and was briefly explaining what they do in his last email. It seems that they are the leading provider in hosted shopping cart software, they have no hidden fees and offer a variety of packages depending on what the business needs. He starts them out on their 10 day free trial and has never had a company ask him to put a stop on things and he hears good things about them.
