The opportunity for me to learn the guitar never presented itself to me when I was growing up. We were all sent next door to old Mrs. Crandell’s house three times a week for our private piano lessons, which we all managed to live through for a year or two each but eventually we all stopped going, much to our mother’s dismay. Now of course I kick myself in the butt for not sticking with it because I just adore the piano as well as the guitar and the saxophone of course. I mean who doesn’t just love a good sounding sax?
I was checking out the TC Helicon guitar center just a short while ago and find myself amazed at all of the equipment that there is out there now a days that is deemed necessary to play the popular musical instrument we call the guitar. I do believe that if I ever get the chance to learn to play I will most definitely stick with the acoustic version. Willie Nelson’s old wooden guitar, which he calls Trigger, has served him well for decades. Man, imagine if old Trigger could talk!
