HOW’S THIS FOR QUICK THINKING!

A senior citizen drove his brand new Corvette convertible out of the dealership. Taking off down the road, he pushed it to 80 mph, enjoying the wind blowing through what little hair he had left. “Amazing,” he thought as he flew down I-75, pushing the pedal even more.

Looking in his rear view mirror, he saw a State-Trooper behind him, blue lights flashing and the siren blaring. He floored it to 100 mph, then 110, then 120. Suddenly he thought, “What am I doing? I’m too old for this,” and pulled over to await the trooper’s arrival.

Pulling in behind him, the trooper walked up to the Corvette, looked at his watch and said, “Sir, my shift ends in 15 minutes. Today is Friday. If you can give me a reason for speeding that I’ve never heard before, I’ll let you go.”

The old gentleman paused then said, “Three years ago, my wife ran off with a State-Trooper. I thought you were bringing her back.”

 The trooper replied, “Sir, you have a good day.”

I’m so glad that I went with Direct TV when I moved into my place. I’ve always gotten the best customer service from them when ever I have needed to call them. With football season right around the corner I have decided to sign up for their NFL Sunday Ticket so we don’t miss any of the action that is being looked forward to by my friends and I.

Sunday nights are going to be a blast with over 200 games, player tracking and Super Fan access available to me with the one of many Direct TV Offers that I have taken advantage of over the years. I have a great group of friends that are die hard fans on numerous teams so it will be good to be able to view each friends favorite when warranted. I myself am a Washington Redskin fan. I’m so glad that they managed to win their second pre season game over the Pittsburgh Steelers. We really need and could use a good season this year.

Last year, my good friends invited me to tag along with them on a trip to Myrtle Beach, which of course is located in the beautiful state of South Carolina. They had all the best deal for an Oceanfront Hotel Myrtle Beach all lined up for us, the suitcases packed, the car serviced and ready to go and at the last minute they got a call about a sudden death in their immediate family and we had to cancel the whole shindig so that they could tend to the family crisis.

They promised to make the trip up to themselves and to me as well and it looks like the time has come for that opportunity. This time they went online to find the best Resort in Myrtle Beach to stay at and enjoy and have sent word to me that we are scheduled to leave in the last week of July for some fun in the sun. We can only hope that nothing happens this time around and that we can successfully leave home with out a hitch so that we can have our time at the beach.

I’ve just gone online and checked out the wonderful Myrtle Beach Resort that they have lined up at The Horizon at 77th, and I can’t wait to get there and take advantage of all of the amenities that are being offered, such as the great beach fronts, the golfing, the food, the entertainment and concerts and of course the fishing that Myrtle Beach is so well known for. It’s going to be a blast, we are all due for a get a way and I can’t wait for the end of July to get here so we can hit the road and enjoy life for a week and a half in South Carolina.

As I have stated before, I subscribe to directtv and I can’t say enough good and positive things about them. I get all the channels that I could ever need or want. But now I want to venture into direct tv HD land! My boyfriend just got a great deal from a buddy of his and got a nice wide screen television set with the HD feature that has landed in my front room! His buddy is becoming very hard up for cash and in order to make this month’s mortgage payment, he was trying to sell his new HD television that he just received as a gift this Christmas for only $200.

Long story short and $175 later we have a great new piece of equipment that is a welcomed addition to the house and want hooked up in time with our directv for the football season that is all most ready to be upon us.

With Direct TV HD we would be able to receive over 130 HD channels and now offers 100% digital programming. The recent transition has been a success in our house, although I hear that the numbers are extremely high of people who are now not able to receive the digital signals due to not taking heed of all the promotions out there for months in order to be prepared for this process!

Something that I have never participated in is paintball. A group of friends have invited me to join them this coming weekend and play a game, it sounds like fun, but I’m a bit nervous about it. I’m not all that good of a shot with any type of gun, not that I’ve shot that many of them in my time, but I’m willing to give it a try.

I’ve been looking around the Internet at some of the products that are for sale for use in today’s paintballing activities.  Pntball.com is a huge paintball store that I spent some time looking at. I had no idea that there was so much to this popular sport. I’m not sure what type of paintball gun that I’ll be using next weekend but now that I’ve seen all that there is out there to use, my curiosity has really been peaked and I’m ready for some action with my friends.
