It’s gonna get crazy (actually it all ready is) around here now that the holidays are upon us. Not gonna have a lot of extra time for blogging, so I just want to say Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years to you and yours all over the world.

I went to a most beautiful wedding last Friday evening. The bride (an old school friend from way back) was beautiful, the groom was drop dead gorgeous, and the bridal party was decked out most eloquently and beautifully. I had realized that I hadn’t been to a wedding in over a decade, so it was nice to attend one and see how these events are all put together and be able to enjoy all the formalities as well as the festivities that go along with a nice formal wedding these days.
The bride had and used very good taste for this entire affair, in my opinion. She was very proud of their choice of tacori engagement rings, by JR Dunn, that they had picked out and purchased two years ago when their engagement was formally announced. And the wedding bands that they exchanged that day (by JR Dunn) were fabulous, I have to say that I’m impressed. She utilized JR Dunn’s work, who is an authorized Tacoi Jeweler all throughout the event. I’ve placed a picture below of the Sterling Silver Chokers that all the bridesmaid and maid of honor were adorned with and I’m sure will treasure for years to come.
Shortly after they had exchanged their vows, fireworks starting going off for the 4th of July celebration that was taking place in the city park right behind the church. What an awesome feature that really set the mood for the reception that was scheduled to start soon after everyone was done gazing at the show in that warm night’s cloudless sky. Now as for the reception, I’ll leave that story for another time!

I would imagine that just about everyone would be excited about having August 7th being proclaimed as a National Vacation Day. There is a petition going around on the Internet that is inviting us to join the movement to Save Our Summer Vacation that will be submitted to Congress soon. My best friend just sent me the link to Blog.homeaway.com asking me to look it over and participate in. When you visit the site you can also enter a contest that could possibly get you $10,000 to put towards a getaway to the vacation rental of your choice. HomeAway Vacation Rentals, it sounds good to me. I could certainly do with a good vacation.
If I had my choice of a dream vacation destination I would have to choose Ireland. I have always been fascinated with Ireland’s colorful history and green has always been my favorite color! A land far a way, with a whole different type of culture, but the language barrier would be easy enough to handle, to a point. I think that I am at an age where learning a whole new language would be quite a challenge and I’m really not up to that at this stage. I would never dream of going some where and not to be able to communicate with the people.
These stressful times can take their toll on us, and good getaway can do wonders for the mind, body and soul. We all need a break now and then. If you are looking for a way to find good vacation deals, I suggest checking out Homeaway.com and see what they can offer you and yours. I urge you to urge your friends and family members to sign this petition as well and see what the power of the pen can do for us all.

Last year, my good friends invited me to tag along with them on a trip to Myrtle Beach, which of course is located in the beautiful state of South Carolina. They had all the best deal for an Oceanfront Hotel Myrtle Beach all lined up for us, the suitcases packed, the car serviced and ready to go and at the last minute they got a call about a sudden death in their immediate family and we had to cancel the whole shindig so that they could tend to the family crisis.
They promised to make the trip up to themselves and to me as well and it looks like the time has come for that opportunity. This time they went online to find the best Resort in Myrtle Beach to stay at and enjoy and have sent word to me that we are scheduled to leave in the last week of July for some fun in the sun. We can only hope that nothing happens this time around and that we can successfully leave home with out a hitch so that we can have our time at the beach.
I’ve just gone online and checked out the wonderful Myrtle Beach Resort that they have lined up at The Horizon at 77th, and I can’t wait to get there and take advantage of all of the amenities that are being offered, such as the great beach fronts, the golfing, the food, the entertainment and concerts and of course the fishing that Myrtle Beach is so well known for. It’s going to be a blast, we are all due for a get a way and I can’t wait for the end of July to get here so we can hit the road and enjoy life for a week and a half in South Carolina.

Since my parents seem to feel a bit secure since they had a home security alarm installed in their home, they are now planning a get a way to South Carolina to visit family, friends and then they are hitting Myrtle Beach for some rest and relaxation some time in the month of July. They can go and have fun with less to worry about back home now.
I’m glad that they are knowledgeable and comfortable using their PC and that they know their way around the Internet in order to find the perfect Myrtle Beach Resort for them to enjoy during their beach time. With this well known and popular beach in full swing by the month of July I’m glad that they have found one of the better Myrtle Beach Hotels - The Avista Resort, to stay at.
With so many good quality Myrtle Beach Resorts out there that are available for the public to utilize, it can be a challenge finding one with openings during their busy summer time months. I’m glad that my parents were able to find The Avista and that they were available for them to book with for their well deserved summer vacation. I only wish that I could go with them!
