My tomatoes are finally coming in like crazy in the backyard garden. I have a few cucumbers, an eggplant and a few green beans as well. The season started out with a lot of rain, then it just decided to dry out, big time and I was worried about the garden, but it has rained here and there the past week and the garden is doing fine. Soon I’ll have squash and peppers as well.
With the last years passing of the famousK-9 Taco Bell spokes dog, I took a few minutes and looked on YouTube to see if I could view any of the commercials that we all grew to love that this famous chihuahua starred in. I should have known that they would have plenty listed he had been around for a good long time. I really loved this one.
I’ve rediscovered the Triscuit. Man are they good. I like the original flavor, although they have many new varities out these days. The “Thin Crisps” are a whole lot easier to chew, I must say. And they are baked with Whole Gain Wheat” so that is a plus. Tasty, healthy and reasonably priced, who would have thought?
For some reason every time we go out to eat, people order either a coke or sweet tea. I don’t know why they want to drink something so sweet with their lunch or dinner. To me, something sweet takes away my appetite and kind of spoils the taste of the food. I would rather drink water with my meals and I can’t help thinking that maybe my teeth appreciate the self restraint from so much sweet stuff, too.
The body needs lots of water to keep your insides working right and to even help keep your skin from getting dried out and wrinkled. I love a tall cold glass of water, and it’s nice to sometimes have a slice of lemon floating on top of the ice cubes.
I just heard that the chihuahua that made headlines with his Taco Bell commercials has passed away at the ripe old age of 15 years. That was a pretty long life span for a small dog such as he. He will be missed.
