No Needles for Me

One of the ladies at work went to a medspa and got Botox. She went at lunch and then came back and bragged about it to everyone. I couldn’t tell that much difference, but she was already pretty anyway. The Botox was used to take away the frown wrinkles that were around her eyebrows and forehead.

I don’t want to get frown wrinkles in the first place. I believe that if you try hard to live a happy life that you will have smile wrinkles when you get older. I don’t like needles and don’t want to have someone sticking needles in my face just because I frown too much. I’d rather be happy.

Flu Shot

I hope to be able to get my annual flu shot early this year and get it out of the way. I’m hoping that the vaccine for the Swine Flu is readily available so that I can take advantage of that as well. These are scary times to get any type of flu.

Responsibilities To The Family

My best friend has taken on the responsibility of taking care of her great uncle who is in his late 80’s and is in need of senior home care. Her mother was taking care of this man for the past several years, but has come upon some medical issues of her own that has made it impossible for her to take any more on than she possibly can at this point.

I’ve been looking around some myself on the Internet to see if I can come up with any suggestions on care for elderly in home services as well. She has been so busy at work and being a mom and wife that she has reached out to me to try and her along the way. I don’t mind one bit, she and I have been friends since the 4th grade, her family is my family and visa verse, we are just one big happy family!

There is a lot of information on the Internet concerning respite care, I’ve learned a lot in my endeavour to help out my friend, which is pretty cool. I’m sure that some day I’ll be looking in to find care for my parents, not something I look forward to, but is a reality that is inevitable, sigh…..

Wake Up Call

If you wake up in the morning and look like this, please do not go to school or work. Stay home and call your doctor ASAP!

A Drug and Alcohol Addiction Research Opportunity

I do have to say that if I were to have to under go treatment such as alcohol rehab or cocaine rehab, I would like it to take place in such a place such as Seasons in Malibu has to offer. When most people think of a treatment center they imagine a very sterile, hospital like environment, which is indeed available in many places, but it’s nice to know that there are other options that are more appealing, much like what was seen on Dr. Drew’s Celebrity Rehab television series that was popular on VH1 last season.

It is most unfortunate that alcohol and drug abuse is on the rise big time, I have several friends that have been experiencing some major financial issues and see them tuning more and more to these possible addictions and it really worries me. With the recent death of Michael Jackson, that is still being blamed on an over dose of pain medicine, it has been a wake up call for many who are headed down that same road. One good friend of mine has acknowledged that she is worried about herself and is looking for addiction resource information, specifically cocaine research. She and I have been looking online to see what we can come up with for her. I’m trying to help her out as much as I can, I’m proud of her and want to see that she gets herself cleaned up safely.
