I started smoking back in middle school. We payed 40 cents for a pack of cigarettes back then. Today I went to the gas station and payed $4.79 for a pack. I remember when I promised to quit when they hit a dollar a pack and here I am today still paying out the nose and smoking away.
I hear that in New York it costs over $10 a pack, isn’t that just crazy?

I remember back in the day, that if you wanted to play bingo that you had to go to the fire station on a Wednesday night to play. My grandmother used to love to play bingo and on occasion she would let me come along with her and play. Once and a while my grandmother would win and the excitement of it all was pretty darn cool, I on the other hand never once got to yell BINGO and receive a prize but it was fun just going and spending time with my grandmother.
I know that they still hold these games at churches and fire stations all across the country, but many have turned to the Internet and are playing free bingo online. The Internet has brought so many things to people that have no way of getting out and doing and online bingo sounds like the perfect way to spend some down time doing these days.
I miss my grandmother very much, she passed away before I graduated from high school. It wouldn’t be the same playing bingo without her, but I’m sure if she was still with us on this earth that she would being playing bingo both off and online and I’d be right at her side playing along waiting for my turn to yell BINGO at sites such as bingoport.co.uk has to offer.

Yesterday I was listening to the news and they were saying that Michael Jackson was in the hospital and that details would be coming as soon as they heard. The next thing I know my cell phone rang and my best friend was on the other line telling me that Michael Jackson had just died. Just like that he is forever gone.

I would imagine that just about everyone would be excited about having August 7th being proclaimed as a National Vacation Day. There is a petition going around on the Internet that is inviting us to join the movement to Save Our Summer Vacation that will be submitted to Congress soon. My best friend just sent me the link to Blog.homeaway.com asking me to look it over and participate in. When you visit the site you can also enter a contest that could possibly get you $10,000 to put towards a getaway to the vacation rental of your choice. HomeAway Vacation Rentals, it sounds good to me. I could certainly do with a good vacation.
If I had my choice of a dream vacation destination I would have to choose Ireland. I have always been fascinated with Ireland’s colorful history and green has always been my favorite color! A land far a way, with a whole different type of culture, but the language barrier would be easy enough to handle, to a point. I think that I am at an age where learning a whole new language would be quite a challenge and I’m really not up to that at this stage. I would never dream of going some where and not to be able to communicate with the people.
These stressful times can take their toll on us, and good getaway can do wonders for the mind, body and soul. We all need a break now and then. If you are looking for a way to find good vacation deals, I suggest checking out Homeaway.com and see what they can offer you and yours. I urge you to urge your friends and family members to sign this petition as well and see what the power of the pen can do for us all.

Last year, my good friends invited me to tag along with them on a trip to Myrtle Beach, which of course is located in the beautiful state of South Carolina. They had all the best deal for an Oceanfront Hotel Myrtle Beach all lined up for us, the suitcases packed, the car serviced and ready to go and at the last minute they got a call about a sudden death in their immediate family and we had to cancel the whole shindig so that they could tend to the family crisis.
They promised to make the trip up to themselves and to me as well and it looks like the time has come for that opportunity. This time they went online to find the best Resort in Myrtle Beach to stay at and enjoy and have sent word to me that we are scheduled to leave in the last week of July for some fun in the sun. We can only hope that nothing happens this time around and that we can successfully leave home with out a hitch so that we can have our time at the beach.
I’ve just gone online and checked out the wonderful Myrtle Beach Resort that they have lined up at The Horizon at 77th, and I can’t wait to get there and take advantage of all of the amenities that are being offered, such as the great beach fronts, the golfing, the food, the entertainment and concerts and of course the fishing that Myrtle Beach is so well known for. It’s going to be a blast, we are all due for a get a way and I can’t wait for the end of July to get here so we can hit the road and enjoy life for a week and a half in South Carolina.
