Responsibilities To The Family

My best friend has taken on the responsibility of taking care of her great uncle who is in his late 80’s and is in need of senior home care. Her mother was taking care of this man for the past several years, but has come upon some medical issues of her own that has made it impossible for her to take any more on than she possibly can at this point.

I’ve been looking around some myself on the Internet to see if I can come up with any suggestions on care for elderly in home services as well. She has been so busy at work and being a mom and wife that she has reached out to me to try and her along the way. I don’t mind one bit, she and I have been friends since the 4th grade, her family is my family and visa verse, we are just one big happy family!

There is a lot of information on the Internet concerning respite care, I’ve learned a lot in my endeavour to help out my friend, which is pretty cool. I’m sure that some day I’ll be looking in to find care for my parents, not something I look forward to, but is a reality that is inevitable, sigh…..

Wake Up Call

If you wake up in the morning and look like this, please do not go to school or work. Stay home and call your doctor ASAP!

Music

My little sister has decided to take music this year in school. She is having a hard time deciding what instrument she wants to try and master. There are so many to choose from. Personally I would love to learn how to play the drums and with the drums comes the cymbals of course so you basically are learning two musical instruments in one. But I think that the flute would be a good start for her, she could learn the basics on that and maybe go on from there, like maybe to the trumpet or trombone, she has a big mouth and at times is totally full of hot air, but it is totally up to her to decide what she thinks would be the best for her.

I think that the clarinet would be a total challenge for her, I don’t think she is up to that at this point, but I’d love to see her master the saxophone. Many a jazz players woo the crowds with their sax, nothing better than that in my opinion! I’m sure what ever she decides and puts her mind to it will all be good, she is just that way and I love her all the more for it.

Summer Reruns

I can’t wait for the fall television season to start. I’ve about had my fill of the summer reruns that are boring me each evenings. I can’t wait for the new Survivor, which is scheduled to begin on September 17th. I have always loved Survivor and hope that it keeps coming back each and every season for a very long time.

ADT, It’s All Good

I really like the idea of having  good quality merchandise and the receiving of good quality services when I decide to spend my hard earned money. I’ve been in customer service for a long time and if I have to provide good customer service each and every day then I expect nothing less than the best in return. I’m the first to complain to a supervisor or manager if I find the need, but then I also don’t mind giving a pat on the back when I feel it appropriate. If I feel that someone has done a better than average job then I believe that needs to be acknowledged as well.

Earlier today I contacted our local San Antonio home security provider and talked with one of the most pleasant ladies that I’ve had the pleasure of talking with in a very long time. She was cheerful, polite, patient and very knowledgeable about the services that they have to offer. I want to have a good security system installed here at home and have heard good things about ADT. I’m glad that I called and was treated with as much respect as this particular lady gave me. I’m seriously considering going with ADT, just want to make sure I dot all my I’s and cross all of my T’s before making a commitment. But so far ADT has all that I need, it’s all good!
