I’m so glad to hear that my first cousin has decided to further her education and get her personal trainer certification very soon. Her life has been in turmoil for so long, she deserves so much more than what life has handed to her. We were so very close while growing up and then after high school she decided to marry the first jerk that gave her a second look. Now she is divorced with 3 kids, all being extremely active and all boys.
She is living in a trailer park some where close to Atlanta Georgia, working as a waitress day and night trying to make ends meet, so it’s good news to hear that she has found something that interests her enough to get off of her duff and try and make a go of it. Her ex isn’t helping her and the kids out one bit, so she has her hands full.
She has put on a few pounds in the last decade or so, so she is interested in becoming as active as her young sons are and becoming a personal trainer would benefit every one all the way around. At Naturalhealers.com she has found The National Personal Training Institute that has a location close to where she lives down south and promises her the career that she is all excited about these days, with State of The Art Fitness Facilities for her use in the whole process.
I wish her all the luck in the world with this important decision that she has finally made her mind up to do.

Every year I get the Major League Baseball schedule and find out when St. Louis will be playing the Chicago Cubs at home. Those dates get circled on the calendar and my trip to Chicago and the Wrigleyville rental for the ball game starts getting planned. The great thing about going to Chicago is that Chicago is a fantastic town. You can go for the weekend or you can go for the day. Either way, it’s going to be great food and good times.
We used to drive to Chicago several times each year. It’s just over a half days’ drive to get there from Nashville. But then we found that buying an airline ticket in advance can get us to Chicago and back for under $100 and in just a little over an hour in the air. So now we fly to Chicago for the games and it works out great. After you land at either Chicago airport you can catch their subway and go right to the ball field. You don’t have to rent a car and deal with traffic or parking. Last year we discovered that you can rent seats at the Wrigley Field Rooftop Club and clearly see the game from across the street from the ball field, yet have the comforts of bathrooms, food and beverages right at hand. We will get our seats from their web site: www.wrigleyfieldrooftopclub.com and meet up with our friends at the next Cards vs. Cubs game this summer.

The temperatures hit the 80′s again today and there was little or no breeze all day. For some people, the best way to beat the heat is to put on a bathing suit and go down to the swimming pool for an hour or two. That’s a great plan for people who live in apartment complexes with swimming pools, and for people who own the big California mansions with swimming pools in every back yard. I am sure a lot of them use the jandy aqualink for a lot of their pool supplies. Take a look at some of the Google satellite maps for Southern California and you’ll Orange County swimming pools everywhere. The same is true for North San Diego swimming pools and half way up the California coast. It’s not until you get to Monterey where the weather start getting cool that the number of swimming pools per neighborhood drops off.
Looking at the satellite maps for Middle Tennessee, you see a number of homes in the upscale neighborhoods that have custom pools, such as Brentwood, Bellvue, and Franklin. In my neighborhood, there are not very many in ground pools, but a few of our neighbors have splurged and put a pool in their backyards. I have not had the opportunity to make friends with the pool owners, but I’m thinking the hot summer days that are right around the corner are a good motivation for getting to know them and making friends.

Todd, a good friend of mine, spent last week end fishing in North Carolina and just had to show off his catch in his email. I’m envious and wishing that I had been there with him, but it really has been too cold for my taste to be fishing. I am planning on and looking forward to taking a long weekend in the summer to join him and his buddies doing some fishing and drinking cold beer!

While he was down there Todd checked out some of the Wilmington NC real estate that he has been interested in looking at these past couple of years. The lucky son-of-a-gun. I would love to be able to relocate down just about anywhere in North Carolina that is remotely close to the beach. The Wilmington area is a nice area, no doubt about that, some mighty fine fishing happens down that a way and I do enjoy fishing. I may never be able to move down there, but at least I’ll have some place that I can go and visit if Todd does finally decide to take off and chase his dream(s).

Landis Farm Rd Wilmington N.C.
I always have enjoyed fishing. My father would take my brother and I out every chance he could when we were little and didn’t have a life of our own yet and our world was totally centered around our parents. Then puberty hit and we started going to Junior High School, started going to football games and found ourselves less excited about going anywhere with either one of our parents. Boys started appealing to me a lot more then hanging with my dad fishing, sigh….

My father is soon going to be celebrating his 70th birthday. He is always one of the hardest people to buy gifts for each year for Christmas, Father’s Day, his birthday as well as my parents wedding anniversary. Four times a year I struggle trying to find something that he will enjoy, appreciate and use. He has had 70 years to gather just about everything that he needs or wants, so it makes it a challenge for all of us to get him gifts. For Christmas we (my siblings) all found something that we thought would “float his boat” as they say and got him the best of the Sea Ray boat covers that are on the market. And he did indeed seem thrilled with our purchase 100%.
With the thought in min that my parents have always been animal lovers. I grew up in a house that always had numerous animals living inside and out, it was interesting, entertaining and educational for us all. My father really enjoys all the birds that come into the yard and has several bird houses located in various locations throughout the yard. So I thought that cameras for birds would be a neat idea for him so that he could see up close and personal what his feathered friends are up to any time he wants.
I went online and found a great site that has a cool wireless bird camera that he could set up real easy like. This particular bird nest camera is affordable enough that I don’t need to ask any of my brothers or sisters if they want to pitch with me and there is no shipping or handling charges involved. Today I’ve placed my order and can’t wait to see his face when he discovers that he will have a new bird house camera that he hopefully can really get into. I’m ordering it in plenty of time in case there is a problem of any type that can be fixed or changed, so I don’t have to worry about it getting here in time. His birthday isn’t until the first week of April, so it should all work out great! I feel good about this year’s birthday present which is a nice change from what I’m used to dealing with.
