One of my issues that I’m going to tend to this new year is trying to reduce some of my monthly bills that I have to face each month. I’m thinking that if I check into a new cell phone provider, or at least the changing of my current package. The Internet has played a key role in comparison shopping. I’ve all ready switched from cable to satellite and am happy with the changes there and am saving a few bucks along the way.

Another thing that the Internet will help with is getting some new and updated auto insurance quotes, I’m looking to raising my deductibles which should help with the price that I (we) all have to pay for car insurance, by law. The economy isn’t letting up any time soon. When the holidays are over and done with, it will be time to get serious about money issues. It looks like the old beat up, shabby looking glass bulletin board that has been hanging on the wall in the break room at work fell down and broke into way too many pieces to be put back together even to be used anymore. So I have been asked to look into replacing this glass enclosed bulletin board by going online and start comparing these types of products and their prices as soon as possible. I really didn’t think that it would be too big of a deal until this afternoon when I started putting in a bit of time on my computer researching all the glass enclosed bulletin boards that are now on today’s market. Good grief I had not idea how many different types of these enclosed bulletin boards there are.

Thank goodness a co worker that I really get along with stopped by my desk at the time I was shopping and she pitched in with some thoughts and concerns that really helped me narrow it down to just a couple that I will run by my manager on Thursday  when he gets back from his trip to the Home Office in Columbus, Ohio that has kept him on the road and out of the office since last week. It’s been nice a quiet like, but then nothing good lasts forever does it?

In today’s local newspaper I was reading that the local community college is looking into finding the money to build a new college press box to use next year for their numerous sporting events that the whole community enjoys. With all of the budget cut backs that have been going on all over the country something as simple as a new press box is now becoming a big issue. When will this economy crisis ever be over. I know a lot of folks think that the up and coming election will bring some relief, I on the other hand don’t see it myself.

Pretty soon we will all be needing a “gasoline purchasing type loan”, if we don’t see any relief at the gas pumps soon, since the prices are once again rising quickly.

With spring coming up soon, I have to prepare for the spring cleaning that my place so desperately is in need of. I’m going to stop at the Dollar Tree Store and pick up a good supply of cleaning materials at $1 a piece, with money so tight the Dollar Tree is getting a lot of business these days. There are some good deals at these Dollar Stores but there are plenty of bad deals as well, but as far as cleaning products go they get my business on that stuff.
