Quick Fixes

I really do like that we are seeing more and more public restroom hand dryers being installed in the rest rooms of America all across the country. These high tech airblade hand dryers can really help reduce the spread of germs, while giving us a pretty good quick fix for the drying of our freshly washed hands. The fact that these air blade hand dryer products are now helping in reducing the amount of so many paper towels being used as well as the tremendous amount of paper towels that are out and out being wasted from people going over board with the amount of these products that they pick up, with out much of a second thought, with absolutely no chance of being used or of being recycled. Although I do like to have a paper towel to be able to use to hold onto when opening the germ ridden door handle to leave the restroom, but that is for another time to discuss because this is an important issue with me.

These electric hand dryers may be using our precious electricity, but it is helping in numerous other positive ways and I constantly urge more places to purchase one or more and have them installed in their restrooms in businesses country wide. I also bring to their attention for the need to provide a simple antimicrobial handles to hang a purse or coat is a must for heaven’s sake. Their is nothing worse than the thought of having to place my purse on the dirty, nasty floor right next to the toilet, when a simply hook would allow us to not only hang our purse, but our jacket, a diaper bag and all the other things that woman are known to tote around with them on a daily basis.

Green Geeks

A very hot topic in today’s world, besides the economy, Wall Street, the war and the up and coming election, seems to be all about going and becoming as Green as possible. I came from a family who took always recycling very seriously and we all did what we could possibly do in order to keep our earth clean and safe as possible in a time that it wasn’t all that it is today. It is so cool to find that more and more businesses are taking the Green issue a lot more seriously then they ever have before.

Yesterday at work the chatter was all about green website hosting, when someone spoke up and mentioned that they had found a website that rates the top 10 green webhosting providers, which apparently not many people even knew that any of these options were out there. So in a flash someone got over to their computer and found this top ten  list which we all found to be very interesting and informative. GreenGeeks gets my vote, since they are 300% wind powered green web hosting, which I find is pretty darned impressive. This list can be found at webhostinggeeks.com, where you can find good quality information on all types of web hosting options, reviews, ratings, blogs and awards all on one site. It’s what you would call a one stop site for your web hosting wants and needs. And since I feel so strongly about the “Green” issue I wanted to pass this information along here today.

Solar Options

I just love how many options are becoming available to all of us to utilize solar powered energy in our daily lives. The ipod charger that my brother-in-law just found online is solar powered am I just tickled pink GREEN about it being the “tree hugger” of the family that I am. Maybe all of my GREEN talk hasn’t been a total waste of breathe.

Energy Options

Anyone who doesn’t know or understand the Benefits of Solar Power Energy really needs to at the very least check out the Solar FAQs at Nextgeneration-ae.com, which I have enjoyed reading and learning so much about Renewable Energy and other “green” related information lately. There is so much information out there, the majority can be found on the Internet with little or no effort to locate. We have been dealing with energy issues for decades now, I know there has been a lot done to move forward and help with the energy crisis, but it just doesn’t seem to be going fast enough.

With the cost of fuel increasing, and it is increasing once again, it is getting harder for my parent’s farm to be making enough money to pay for the fuel they need to run the tractors to tend the farm. They are currently growing enough crops to feed their livestock, assuming that the weather cooperates they won’t have to buy too much winter feed.

Dad’s thinking about putting in a windmill and some solar panels to try to generate some of his own energy to cut down on electricity costs. It’s hard to find ways to conserve energy when you are running a farm! I’ve been reading articles on the Internet about how different plants like algae can be used to create bio fuel instead of using corn (which I think is a great idea) and how many areas of the country are looking into wind farms and solar farms, too. I think that all of these areas are good investments into the energy futures of the country.

There is so much more to becoming as green as possible than recycling our household waste, even though that is a great way to help the situation. We are lucky in that we are provided recycling bins that the local Waste Control trucks come and pick up each week from the curb of your residence, at no extra charge mind you. I mean it can’t get much easier than that, which makes me crazy when I see so many neighbors not using them. Makes me wonder what else do they expect to help keep our Mother Earth healthy for us all.

Never Too Old for Acne

Even though I am far from being a teenager, I am still experiencing a battle with acne. I really thought that I would outgrow this problem, but of course things don’t always play out the way we expect it to, so I’m always on the look out for new Acne Treatment products.

I love that the Internet brings these types of personal care and hygiene products right to us, instead of hopping around from store to store, which can take up valuable time and gas and all the hassles that goes along with shopping for products that will help me figure out how to get rid of acne problems. I can take my time, not worrying about anyone bothering me, no screaming kids and crying babies to distract me and comparing prices and availability online is a snap. I mean time is money after all, and it’s all about the money these days.

I like the idea of trying a Natural Acne Treatment, chemicals are such a drag all the way around. I’m sure that I’ll find some, what with most folks trying to become as “Green” as they possibly can be these days. It is an important issue, one that I stand behind as best as I can.
