My younger brother came to visit me from West Virginia and was so eager to see him after so long. I hadn’t seen him for about 2 years and so many things had changed since. The one thing that hasn’t and hopefully will never change is my yougest brothers love for music. He has been an aspiring musician ever since he learned how to play guitar in the forth grade.
When he visited I had talked to him about his music and said that everything was going great and he had a show to perform at a few weeks after his visit with me, he was super psyched about it. When I asked to see him play, he got out his guitar and his amp and started playing and he stopped in the middle because his amp wasn’t putting out what it was supposed to sound like.
Poor guy was so bummed until I had the idea of searching around on the net for a new amp. He leaped up and we scurried to the computer and looked around, and we came across
genz-benz amps at Guitar Center online. My younger brother saw the one he had been wanting for a long time and needless to say I ordered it right away for an awesome price. It arrived shortly after and I’m so thrilled that my younger brother now has his new amp he wanted, and is now creating beautiful music to share with the world. I expect front row seats from here on out!

Eric is a 17 year old high school drop out that lives next door. I worry about the boy sometimes, but yesterday he announced that he and a few other of his friends had put together a CD of their music and promises me a copy as soon as they get them all in order and ready for distribution. I think it is a great idea and wish them all the luck in the world with their endeavour. I’ve heard them play through out the years, since they are right next door and know the quality of their work. They are planning on hitting several of the local clubs and even a few across the state line in an effort to get their music played out there. Maybe one evening I will be able to go with them, it sounds like fun!
He is currently looking for decent CD sleeves, so I referred him to psprint.com where they offer CD/DVD/VCD sleeves at discount prices. They use top of the line quality stock and offer free samples, which I think is cool. I’m familiar with their work due to the using of them at my work a time or two for their poster printing services, so I feel comfortable referring them to him and his musician friends.

Anybody who know anything about music know that the markbass family of products are of good quality and they have a large selection of audio equipment and other random musical products in a variety of price ranges. I remember my brothers having a markbass mini bass combo amp that looked much like this one that I found online.

They spent a good amount of time with their friends in the garage playing music and making music. Those were good times that we never thought would ever end and certainly not end up the way things are now. Every now and then we hear about one of our old friends leaving town or getting locked up and unfortunately a few have passed on. The group is getting smaller and smaller with each passing year. I’m told that this is just one of the signs that I am getting old, which I don’t want to face up to, especially when it comes to this aspect of it. Reality can really bite.
I don’t even know if any of my brothers have their guitars around or not. I don’t ever hear any of them mentioning that they are playing at any time. I think that over Easter I will bring the subject of all the good times in that garage and see what folks have to say about that fun filled era. And I’ll see if anyone is still playing any type of instrument at all these days. It would be awesome if at least a couple of them still played.

My boyfriend Bo and I have always thought that we would love to open up our own bar/restaurant and possible lodging for the good folks that ride two wheels. The bikers of the area are frequently finding themselves in need of a new decent place to meet and great, have a great time, good booze, good music, good food and even a place to crash for the night so the need to ride the bike back home won’t be so prevalent. The numbers of people that are buying and riding motorcycles have gone through the roof this past decade, plus some and most of them are decent hard working, good hearted people that don’t want to be hassled bye “the man” Getting in a wreck or getting a ticket and possible jail time is a real buzz kill!
We are always looking online at numerous websites that we educate ourselves in and compare the information and then discussing them with each other . Like the other night Bo came across a site that sells various Hotel Bar Supplies. Honestly I hadn’t even considered a lot of that aspect of the business, so this was an eye opener into the Hotel Supply industry and all the things that you possibly think of to use in any type of hospitality business.
Who knows, maybe one day our dream will come true and we might need to turn to somewhere like the Georgia Hotel Supplies Online website that we have bookmarked and put in our ever growing “dream job” folder. As the old saying goes – It Takes Money To Make Money and right now money is tighter than ever for most people that I know with the economy still in such crisis.

My favorite gift of all that I received this Christmas was the bose headphones at guitar center that my boy friend was generous enough to give to me on Christmas Eve. We have a tradition that we each get to pick one gift under the tree on Christmas Eve, basically right before turning in for the evening. It kind of eases the anticipation for all of the goodies that are going to be opened and enjoyed for the next day or two. Some times people don’t get their weeks for weeks or even months, well after the “big day” is done and over with, but hopefully not forgotten.
That was one of the numerous things that we talked about when we were first getting to know each other. We both came from a family that did this same Christmas Eve gift exchange tradition. How we laughed at the many things that we had and basically still do have in common. I’m lucky to have found someone so much like myself on one hand and so completely different on the other hand. Guess that is called be “balanced” or “complete” whatever it is I’m blessed to have it/him in my life.
